Along with growing up visiting the beautiful Skyline Drive across the top of the Appalachian Mountains, we also visited the caverns in the valley far below. There are several area caverns including Luray Caverns, which is going to be the focus of our visit this summer. We are planning to visit the caverns once again, now almost some 15 years later, but this time it will be to take the grand girls there for their first cavern experience. The beautiful wonders of nature, enjoyed all over again through the eyes of children. Luray Caverns is the most famous and is chocked full of various formations.
